Winter Park Ice skating rink has opened

The finishing touches being applied to Tekapo's new Winter Park
in preparation for the June 20th opening

Swimmers take part in a mid-winter swim

Tekapo's exciting new Winter Park is open and very busy. Opening day started with a mid winter swim in which a few dedicated and hardy swimmers took to the cold, glacial fed waters. of Lake Tekapo.

 

 

The team at the Winter Park are busy keeping the ice in peak condition for the hundreds of ice skaters and visitors to the facility.

 

 

 

 

While most of the action is on the ice, the Winter Park has people behind the scenes to keep appetites and visitor's desires for winter excitement, content.

 

 

 

 

Skate and equipment hire is available at Winter Park or bring your own skates.
