EVENING EXPERIENCES - Dark Sky Project offer a range of experiences at exclusive locations in this world-renowned stargazing destination including the Summit Experience at Ōtehīwai, University of Canterbury Mt John Observatory, Lake Front Experience at the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Crater Experience at Cowan’s Observatory. Stunning surrounds, pristine night skies, premier destinations, expert guides and astrophotographers make Dark Sky Project the ultimate place to reflect, to discover and to be inspired. There is road access to the summit of Mt John. Please note: a road-user fee applies (payable at gate by card only). This toll is to cover the high maintenance costs of the private road.
