Tekapo Tourism - Lake Tekapo Live streaming webcam

This webcam is brought to you by Air Safaris

This camera is located on Mt John, above Lake Tekapo (Takapō)
During the day the camera cycles through multiple views, stopping to capture images
for the webcam page on this site.
Watch while the camera slowly moves through those views on a 10 minute tour.
There is a 1min pause between each 10min tour when the camera looks across the lake.

The tour only occurs during the day. At night the camera points at the southern sky and Tekapo village. During periods of solar activity the Aurora Australias may be visible on the live stream if the skies are clear.

The live stream is archived for 24hr, allowing you to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the live stream to go back and view any night time occurances of the aurora.

If Mt John is in cloud, then the camera will only see cloud. At times some individual views may also be completely obscured.
The camera is not interactive, but you can scroll back to see the last 24 hours.
